Trying to find easy projects while my good machine is in the shop. It's tiny, but I love it! I tried hand quilting it, but I'm still learning that! I bow to the hand quilters!

That is so sweet! And I think you've done a very nice job on the hand quilting.
Your bow ties are so cute! :) Love the colors you chose. :)
Any word on your foot control coming back home soon? |
The contrast between the red and blue fabric is quite striking. (another one for the "to do" list) And, yes, even dolls need their quilts. (I'm a doll collector, too......)
Ohhh that is sooo sweet, just love the backing fabric particularly!!!! :D
Wonderful quilt, good job, can't wait to see it quilted :D
Awww Chele! Its too cute, you did a great job with the hand quilting!! How are your fingers? LOL Yeah, what Shadow asked, any word on the foot control yet? and did you ever find out if you have the sew / stop button LOL??
Too cute! I love the bow tie pattern. It's so vintage.
Thanks everyone! It is quilted, Amma! My first attempt at hand quilting, I didn't "overdo" it obviously, but I did try! LOL!
My fingers survived, Lisa...barely! I really have even more appreciation for hand quilters. You guys are the bomb! Someone come teach me! :D My foot control is back! Woo hoo! I like my new machine so much better! Don't tell the Singer! She's still a work horse, just loud! LOL! |
So Sorry Chele  Forgive an old lady, I need new bifocals
Chele - you have talent my friend. Me thinks you are cutting yourself short with some of your negative self comments. Those doll quilts are absolutely darling. now I can send you a couple of my UFO's for you to hand quilt for me? :?: LOL Guess the answer was "no" :(
I kinda like hand quilting better then machine. Slower but you can sit in a chair ANYWHERE and get the job done. I like to sit outside on my deck when the weather is nice too. I love the outside. I have more control of it too. I know all about "quilter's fingers". Sometimes my "underneath" finger gets so sore I have to stop for a while. The end of it looks more dimpled then my thimble!
Oh Amma, I was just teasing! My bifocals need an upgrade too! I'm thinking of attaching magnifying glasses to each eye!
I really love my little quilt and it was fun to hand quilt! Makes me want to make others in small sizes to experiment on! I still bow to anyone that hand quilts! Or machine quilts for that matter! LOL! |
Those are fabulous! I'm partial to the red white and blue, but I think the other one is good for the fall. You've got the red/white/blue for the summer, the other one for the fall, all you need is a winter and spring quilt yet ...
 Pastels for spring and brick red, black and green for winter maybe? |
very nice quilts....
