Cool bags. You took bow tucks and made them your own. Great job and thanks for sharing.

Do you have a tutorial for your bag with the flap?

Your Bow Tucks are really awesome! I love the variation you did on them!

Nice bags. Love the colors.

The navy is also made from Joann's pre-quilted fabric, but I modified the pattern to make it a bit smaller (thanks much to other members of this board for the suggestions). I still have to buy a button for it.

Those are wonderful...
In both of those bags I put pockets on both front and back.

The pink bag (not from pre-quilted fabric) is made in the smaller size also and I used Texture Magic on the bottom, quilted with a meandering stitch. I love it! Rather than the button closure, I made a flap (from a tulip bag pattern) and added a magnetic clasp. One outside pocket only, on the back.

I'm assuming you have the bow tucks pattern...instead of making the button loop, you make a flap. Mine was about 4" wide at the top, 6" wide at the widest part, 7" tall. You can shape it however you'd like.

Make the outside and the lining, sew them together RST with 1/4" seams leaving the top unsewn. Turn right-side-out, and then top stitch along the side and bottom edges.

Sew it into the top/back exactly as you would the button loop.

Clear as mud?
