I've finally joined the crowd and attempted my first Bow Tucks Tote/Purse. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out and now want to make another! Just thought I'd share. Thanks!

Forgot to mention...I put the button loop on the wrong side (I figured this out after the fact), so my button is on the opposite side of my pocket! Oh well...live and learn!

Very nice!!

Good job!!! For me you didn't put the button on wrong at all!! I prefer to have the pocket held close to my body so the stuff that is in it feels more secure, so I consider the plain side the front. :) :)

Thanks for sharing!!

Oh, that is soooo cute! I've GOT to make one. Perhaps after the IRR is finished I'll take the time to do one.

CarrieAnne 06-15-2010 01:12 PM

Cute! I love the fabric you used!

Stitching4Fun 06-15-2010 01:12 PM

When I made mine, I put a pocket on each side. Never can have enough pockets!!

charmpacksplus 06-15-2010 01:19 PM

Very Cute! I was thinking about putting the button on the "wrong" side on my next one so I can make the pocket taller and embroider something on it.

Nice work!

That really looks great. Nobody will know which side the buuton is supposed to on. Where can I get a pattern for this tote.

Up North 06-15-2010 02:38 PM

I got my pattern at the LQS. I think you can get it on line from connecting threads too.

Adorable. And the button on the wrong side just let's you show off the beautiful fabric that the pocket is covering up on the other side.

Thanks for all of the compliments! I'm ashamed to say that I think I bought this as a 'kit' from Paducah like maybe 2 years ago?!?!? I'm TRYING to use up some of my stash, and FINISH up some of those long set aside projects! I've already started another purse though...it was fun to make and it's a nice size! Thanks again....

RedGarnet222 06-16-2010 07:31 AM

So cute! I like the pocket up next to my body anyway, it makes it more private. I love your choices of fabrics too.
