Boy or girl?

When your daughter is expecting your first grandchild, but wants the gender to be a surprise.
Why…..you make two baby quilts of course!! Thinking I might not have enough time for 2, I used a panel for the boy’s quilt which I did first. When I saw how quick that went, I decided I could do some simple piecing for the girls quilt. Inspired by a heart quilt I saw online, I googled ‘piece a heart quilt block’, and got plenty of good instructions. I used leftovers from other projects; mostly a Tula Pink fat quarter bundle from a few years back. Purchased the background and border fabric from fabric.com about 2 days before they closed down! What to do with the extra quilt once the baby is born? Gift? Donate? Or save it for the next one 🤣🤣 |
both quilts are cute
save it for the next one |
These quilts are adorable! You're covered either way.

When I was a little girl, I LOVED trucks. Still do, to this day. Used to frustrate me to no end that my brothers always got the Tonka trucks and I got the stupid Barbie dolls. I would throw Barbie and Ken out in the yard and run over them into the mud with the Tonkas when my brothers weren't looking. 🤣 Hang on to both quilts, you never know!

Well, it might be unexpected twins!! I love both your quilts. Keep it for the next one or for a special great niece or nephew.

I would give both to this child. They’re so cute - and it is your grandchild. When a quilt or bedding gets wet, the parents will need to reach for the next quilt that is clean and warm.

Perfect baby quilts.

Definitely save it for the next one, once they start coming- yippee!

These are both so adorable. I am totally in love with the trucks. You should hold on to one of them for the next grandchild. Congratulations! It is so exciting to be a new grandma. Such a special time in your life.
