"Boys' Nonsense" / Crown Royal
 

This pattern is called "Boys' Nonsense" and I thought that just went along perfectly with my theme! It will be auctioned off at my friends bar named "Pickled Pete's". (see the pickle green?) The purple is from the felt bags that Crown Royal whiskey comes in. (There's some Boys' Nonsense for you right there!) The bar is having a fundraiser to start a memorial scholarship fund after the sudden death of a patron.

I haven't posted any completed work for awhile, so I'm excited to show this fun little thing off!

My dad used to save his pennies in Crown Royal bags. He had a fine sense of irony. I turned the pennies into the bank and threw out the bags...too bad.

Terrific quilt. A friend of my husband's gave me a box full of the CR bags and wants me to make a quilt for him. This pattern is perfect. Did you use stabilizer on the bags?

No, no stabilizer this time. I thought it might get too heavy. If I was making one for myself (or for frequent use), I might have though. I don't know how the felt is going to hold up after many washes. I might put a dry clean only label on it...
