Bright & Bold Stacked Coins quilted by Aubrey's Quilting Creations

This bright little number was a customers quilt I quilted all freehand. I used a bright green thread and did feathers in the borders and in the large scale fabric strips within the quilt. In the stacked coins strips I used an all over stippling pattern. The quilt spoke so much on its own I did not want to add too much quilting to over power the fabrics. Thanks for looking.

It's a bit overwhelming in this context but is a great fabric overall; I can think of a hundred ways to play with it! Still, the quilter certainly showcased it here and probably had a good time pulling complements for it! :thumbup: Thanks for sharing it. Jan in VA |

I think you were right to downplay the quilting. Each quilt has a story to tell and if you overwhelm the viewer with too many story lines (bright fabrics, fancy piecing, ornate quilting etc) the story gets lost. Very nice job!

I think of stacked FQs rather than stacked coins. Bright, colorful, happy quilt.

What an energizing quilt, vibrant, love all the colors and your quilting sets it off, love the delicate fountain-like feather effect you quilted in the borders.
