Love it! So bright and cheery!!
Nice quilt. Yes, that would be a good name. A friend called her first stack N whack "Frogs in a Blender", an ugly thought, but memorable.
What a great quilt and I like the bright colours. I am wondering what the fabric did look like before cutting. Perhaps you will have a picture.
Very Pretty. I love the colors you used. Such a change from ones I have seen. Reminds me of candies.....

I have to agree with everyone else, this is a cheerful bright happy quilt. I never would have seen such great kaleidoscope blocks just looking at the original fabric- great eye and clever use of coordinating fabrics. Thank you for inspiring so many to consider stack n whack!

wow, that's really pretty ~ my first thought was candy swirls :)

That is a cute quilt, reminds me of those large suckers you see at the fairs

That turned out really well! Nice job!
Great quilt and yes, that name is a winner! Love the circles in the cornerstones.
LOVE THAT QUILT! The sashing and cornerstones are perfect and the border pulls it together beautifully. You did a wonderful job.
JenniePenny,
Absolutely love it. Fantastic fabric selection, the swirls in the posts, the sashings print and your border print all come together to make a beautiful quilt. Keep up the good work. |
Love the pattern and colors. I always see these pretty quilts but I never see the pattern or fabric probably don't know what I'm looking for. Looks great and fun colors. Sue

WOW - perfect name!
Lovely quilt - and great idea to name it 'When the Fruit Hits the Fan!'
Love the quilt. Is there a tutorial for this?

This is the most awesome Stack and Whack Quit I have ever seen. I don't care for the Flowerey ones--they remind me of for a middle aged person. I want to make a stack and whack quilt for my stepdaughter for her graduation next year and I'll have to look for some fabric like this --or like the fabric in the "Hippie Love Beads" that was on here recently. THese two stack and whack quilts look like something that an 18 year old would like. I still am trying to find out what template to use for it --or how to cut the pieces. Does it show it in the magazine? Do you still have the magazine? What magazine is it?--maybe I can still find a copy from someone. Or does anyone have a book that has a template--or how to cut it? Someone recommended Bethany Reynold but I think she has 3 books---anyone knwo which one would be a good one to buy--for someone like me that is doing my first kaleidascope quilt? Thanks to anyone who can give me any suggestions.

That's a very nice quilt. Years ago, a friend of mine used a print of tropical frogs, calling the result (rather gruesomely) "Frogs in a Blender". I like the image of your title better.
Great job on this! Fun and cheery! :)

Wow I love it!

What a fun and happy quilt! I love it! :-)

Really pretty. I like the Stack-n-Whack so much better when you separate each block. I think it lets you see the beauty of your work and the effect of the Stack-n-Whack.
Beautiful quilt. yes, that is a good name.
Very happy quilt! Love your color choice. Thanks for sharing.
Love it! Yummy colors.
Love it! It reminds me of the county fairs, for some reason. Very playful fabrics, and your quilt name idea is too cute! lol
Really, really like your quilt! And seeing the original fabric I would not have imagined it would be so adorable done in this pattern. I've started on an OBW but think I'm going to put it together as a stack n whack instead, as I really like the separate kaleidoscope blocks that show the detail of each individual block.
I love that method for cutting the "kite" shapes. I have that Fons and Porter magazine with the pattern in it, it's my go to stack and whack pattern. It makes a nice sized blocks and you can make little bonus 4 patch blocks from the cut aways. Good job, it's very appealing.
It says Sunshine, Lollipops and Candyland to me, very appealing!
