Brightly pattern

1 Attachment(s)
Hi Quilters! This is Brightly by Cluck Cluck Sew pattern, made in Red White Blues for, you guessed it, another veteran! I love this easy pattern because I think it packs a good punch! And I love the ‘chain’ look. I made it 60x84 and Thursday it goes to our QOV quilter.

Beautiful quilt! Looks like another I'll need to get for all the R,W &B fabric I keep buying. Thanks

Another beauty. What a wonderful tribute to a vet.

sewbizgirl 09-11-2023 06:09 PM

What a great quilt, Toogie, and thanks for making it for a veteran! Bless you.

That's gorgeous, Toogie!

Beautiful! That is such a great pattern. You did an awesome job.

Such a pretty quilt. I just love red white and blue. You sure make beautiful quilts Toogie! I don’t often comment but I always check out your quilts whenever you post pictures. I’m a fan.

Brightly is a great pattern name and you did it beautifully Toogie! 60 x 84 is a great size. Have you kept count on how many Veteran quilts you have made so far? I like each and every one that you've posted. Thank you for all that you do !

Another beautiful finish Toogie for a most deserving cause! I wish you’d share how you get your tops done so quickly.

Yet another successful beautiful QOV from you Toogie. I'm sure the recipient will love it and appreciate it.

QuiltBaer 09-12-2023 04:10 AM

I haven’t kept count, although I do try to remember to take a picture, before we present a quilt. According to pictures on my phone (I haven’t checked my computer yet) I have made 33 quilts for veterans, since I joined in 2019. I also counted the quilts I have made and quilted for family and CASA. The number on my phone is 43 since 2019. Thanks to some of you again, for making this possible, by donating fabrics or scraps. I’m so thankful to our veterans, to you here at QB and for finding this site. I love seeing what others have made and getting help from all of you, when I don’t understand a quilting phrase-lol

Great quilt! Nice work.

Yiaya 09-12-2023 05:23 PM

Toogie,

I am new to this forum so have only seen a couple of your beautiful QOV. You mentioned people send donations to assist you with your projects. I’m all ears! What is your current need?

LAF2019 09-13-2023 01:06 AM

ooh, this may be one of my favorites that you have done recently!

WMUTeach 09-13-2023 03:15 AM

In my area, this quilt pattern has been a local hit and done in so many color ways. But ....your RWB is really lovely. A quilt to honor a vet but one that is a bet more "gentle". You have a beautiful vision and mission to honor those who serve.

Hi, I see you joined QB two years after me and I too still feel ‘new’ here—lol I hope I didn’t sound in need, by thanking those quilters here, that have offered and sent supplies before. I do appreciate them and have made and will make for others from them. I can’t say I am in need of anything, but when an offer is made I rarely refuse, because I do make quilts for others that are in need. Since you just started I’m sure you need to build your own stash up, but I appreciate your wanting to help with these causes.
If you want to see more of my work I have some pictures in albums if you know how to get to those. Also I think you can find threads started by Toogie , maybe with search button at the top of this page. You are probably a lot younger than me and already know how to find all this. It still takes me a while-lol also I know some of my albums look blank but if you click on the blank spot the picture will show, then just click next. I think when the forum changed my pictures didn’t show up anymore. In the meantime, I am gonna to try by clicking your name to see any work you’ve done. Have a nice day! Toogie

Toogie,
I joined the forum years ago but only recently started to post and join in on a swap. However, I have been quilting for about 34 years or so. I downsized my stash when I moved from Massachusetts to Florida a few years ago; taking only pieces 1/2yard or longer. That still left me with dare I say it? Way too much 😱. ( Oxymoronic phrase if there ever was one) Last year I got into hand dying my own fabrics too so I can’t give it away fast enough 😂.
I have not posted any pictures of my work on here, someday soon I’ll get around to it.
you did not sound like you were looking for anything, your post was absolutely a heartfelt thank you; I just wanted to contribute to your projects. Please feel free to PM me if you find a way that I could help.
Thanks for responding and a huge thank you for your support of our veterans.

What a fabulous quilt! I am always amazed at the wonderful quilts you make! Love it! Do you have in mind where this quilt will call home?

dunster 09-14-2023 04:07 PM

I've also made the Brightly pattern, and just might make it again since your lovely quilt has shown how great it looks in red, white, and blue.
