I have a Brother CS4000 as my backup machine and it is a nice little machine, yours has a few more bells and whistles than mine.

Enjoy your new baby, don't forget to post your creations.

I read your post and thought hey....My brother is home too! But he weighs a bit more and doesn't look nearly so good sitting on the table. LOL Seriously, enjoy your time with your new machine as much as I'm enjoying the visit with my big brother from Arizona1

I have the Innovis 4000D, which is the next step down, and I love it. I paid $5000 for mine, it was a demo machine at the country fair so I got a deal, included all the software and classes. It's a lot of money for sure but I've never regretted it.

The only downside is it is a combo sewing/embroidery machine and quite frankly I will never use it for sewing although it has outstanding features and would be great for quilting. The reason I don't use it for sewing is I have it embroidering constantly. I have a back up machine for embroidering - a Bernina Deco 650 - but it can't do what the Innovis does. I've thought about quilting on it but I have it up high on a dresser for easier accessibility and would have to move it and set it up on a table and it's just too darn heavy to be moving around.
