I made this one for my favorite students of all time! Her mom just had a baby boy and since they moved to another province I wanted to give Gracie's family something to remember me by! LOL I surely won't forget her!

I made it extra long for tucking in when he's in his stroller...

I put it in the mail today along with a copy of the Brown Bear, Brown Bear book for Patrick!

Ah Mama

That range of fabric has been so popular over here, my local shop sold out 3 times on the trot they then started a list so that no one was left out.
Little Grace's baby brother will love it I'm sure.

The fabric was hard to find here. I ended up buying it online from the U.S. I have enough blocks of the animals to do two more similar quilts. My daughter has threatened me... "Don't you DARE give it all away!> My child wants one like that!" She is 24 and not even remotely interested in starting a family yet!!

I love the book and the fabric! (I taught Kindergarten for 18 years)

Mamagus, you didn't have to tell us. I KNEW you were at least a primary teacher or a librarian in an elementary school. Those pieces attract me, too. I was mostly first grade. I LOVE the quilt. I want some of that fabric. We used to write a Brown Bear, Brown Bear in creative writing in my class. The things those kids would write!

I finally came across the Dick and Janes. Bought all 4 pieces that she had in the shop. Don't know what I'll do, but I'll hold on to it until I decide. Maybe forever. I have a feeling I won't be able to cut into it right away.

Your Brown Bear quilt is lovely. Yes, and DO keep one for yourself.

When I learned to read I used the Dick and Jane books in school and managed to tuck away a few old copies when we closed down a school a few years ago. The librarian from the new school had tossed them into the discard pile! HERESY! My husband would LOVE that fabric. I am going to have to look for some online!!
