No real story behind this quilt ... I just loved the pattern. It came from Trtankiwi patterns on Etsy.

He's only about 30" square ... so, he'll hang on the wall somewhere .... not sure where yet!

I like your fabric choices for your bear! Did you find the pattern hard to make? Our guild may do a program on paper piecing, but this pattern doesn't look beginner friendly. Enjoy your lovely wall-hanging!

Love your bear Cathy…looks like a fun PP challenge. Hope you enjoyed the process. Great job!

What a handsome bear and your fabrics are divine! Love it.

pbraun 02-14-2022 05:29 AM

LOVE it...but now I will be saying "Brown bear, brown bear, what do you see? AND thinking I should make a block with each animal...smaller than yours. But then smaller might limit the detail.

Love the bear!

The same designer (tartankiwi) has a 12" version, and several reviewers said that did that as their first paper piecing project. My Bear was not really more difficult than any other pp project I've done.

So amazing and realistic looking. This will make a person take a second glance and then wonder at the workmanship. Thanks for sharing.

I'm not sure I understand your question. I got it from TartankiwiPatterns on etsy. The name of the pattern is Big Bear Quilt Pattern.
