I loved the quilting. I have the same long arm in the picture but i usually free hand most of my quilting. Did you use a pattern for your quilting? Thanks Christina

I have a long arm and still learning. I see you basting stitches look so even and holding down the quilt nicely. Can you give me any tips on how to have better basting. I'm all over the place when I try it. Lovely quilt and I admire your talent with your quilting machine. I have the Tin Lizzie 18, I couldn't read what kind you have. Thanks in advance for anything you can suggest.

my friend gave me a picture of a quilt made with this same pattern. don't know the name of the pattern. I can sort of figure this out....just wondering what size those rectangles are and what is the finished width of the sashing around the bubble blocks? would save me a lot of " trial and error" if you would let me know. Thanks. the quilt is beautiful.

I quilted this in my longarm for a friend. It is 106x96 and almost didn't fit on my frame. I haven't used my robotics much lately, but this design was perfect. And it was pieced very well. Even the very end was nice and square. Great piecing and pressing. I used Glide thread and she chose Hobbs cotton batting. Thanks for looking. :)

It is a 2009 TL 18LS and I bought it as a demo model then the next year I had Quilt Magician added to it. I don't use the robotics a lot, but it sure is handy when I do need it.
As far as keeping it basted square, I measure from the sides to the edge of the quilt with each roll, and the quilt was also very square to begin with. When I get to the bottom, I pin about 1 1/2 inch from the edge before I baste it down. When the quilt isn't square, and it does happen when quilting for others, you just have to kind of go with it and do the best you can. I had one that was 4 inches different from the top and bottom and almost 6 inches from side to side. I called her and told her what was going on, it was her first so she appreciated the gentle information. Also, here is the link for the TL yahoo group. It is very active and has a ton of info. https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/...ieLongarm/info Also, longarmuniversity.com has some free files for loading and basting. Hope this helps. :) Take your time, take breaks, remember to breath and loosen the death grip that will creep up on you holding the handles. And remember that everyone started somewhere.
