Building Blocks Quilt Along - Blocks # 10.3 y 10.4

10 Attachment(s)
Hello everyone! Happy Wednesday!
I'm still with my participation in the Building Blocks Quilt Along by Ms. Leah Day of The Free Motion Quilting Blog.
I ended up with my Block # 10.3 called "Basic Basket Block with Circles and Wiggles" and Block # 10.4 "Basic Basket Block with Pebbling and Echoes".
Block # 10.3: not very good. Non-round circles and "drunk" wiggles. But the straight lines went well!
Block # 10.4: Great pebbles and my echoe need more practice!
I show you some phothos, I hope You liking and Thank You very much for looking!
Have a very great day! A hug for all!

You are way to hard on yourself - in a whole quilt it will look amazing!

Great job!!!!

Wow! Great job! For just starting, it is super. I had a class recently and not one circle was round and the pebbles looked like pimples and my students are not beginners.

I like the second version better, but I am not good at quilting circles.

You are doing great.

IBQUILTIN 10-03-2014 07:27 PM

Gladys, you are doing great. All skills take practice and when you try to do them again later, you have to start over with more practice. So much fun, and well worth it

You're an A+++ student, Gladys. The blocks look wonderful.

Nicely done

Thanks for posting these photos. I always have had a hard time visualizing how to mark quilts and now I feel it is something I can try. What kind of marker did you use?

Boston1954 10-04-2014 09:03 AM

I think you did quite well! Do not worry over it. Once the lines have been washed out, it will not be very noticable at all. You did just fine.

[Quote = Pennyhal; 6915023] Gracias por publicar estas fotos. Siempre he tenido un tiempo difícil visualizar cómo marcar edredones y ahora siento que es algo que puedo probar. ¿Qué tipo de marcador usaste? [/ Quote]

Hi, Pennyhal!
I used a Pilot Frixion to mark block. This is a quilt of learning, so no worries me if anybrand not disappear later.

noahscats7 10-04-2014 03:55 PM

I think you did wonderful. And I admire you for even attempting it.
