Well I read all your suggestions and decided I wasn't good enough to take the square out, so I took out the quilting stitches and cut another square of the same fabric. I centered as best I could and pinned. I then requilted, and turned under by hand. Then machine sewed over that.
None of you would probably do that, but I did it. Here are the results. By the way that horrible blue chalk did not come out when I washed it. I will never use it again. |
Looks great to me... what did you do on the back?

quilting on back of quilt.

You cant tell anything ever happened to it... Great job!
|
The mark on the back of the quilt came out from the peroxide, but didn't make a hole like the front.

Thanks, I am so excited to be finished and sending to recipient next week.
Now I can do some fun things. |
Great job!

Oh wow, you did a great job fixing it!!! Yes, i would have done it just like you :) :) :) It looks gorgeous!

You did an amazing job fixing that up! I know where it was on the back but heck if I can see anywhere that you redid your work! Excellent job. Did you try any of the suggestions first? It would be nice to know which ones, if any didn't work. ;)
So how long before that sewing light finds a new home? I just hate that you did all that beautiful work and then had to go through all of that. You have crafted a truly amazing quilt. Kudos on all of your hard work. |
Gee, you did such a good job, I can't see where you repaired it! It's beautiful.
