Calling this "Square Dance". It's done with double D9P blocks

I just finished this quilt, which is destined for my brother and his wife in Indiana. It's made from double D9P blocks, with sashing and green cornerstones to add another block. (There's a great explanation of double D9P at http://afewscraps.blogspot.com/2011/...ine-patch.html)
I did FMQ in all the yellow squares, each one is a different pattern. I don't think you can see it too well in the photos. It was fun; I love batiks on black! This is my second quilt with that combination. |

Goodness gracious, this is amazing!!!, love it!

Wonderful. All those great colors. They remind me of a variety of peppers in a garden, from green to purple. A great quilt.

Great quilt and interesting technique!

They will be doing the Happy Dance when they receive this beauty. Nice work. Love batiks and the pattern you used is terrific.

Now that is a cute idea! What size squares (individual) did you use and how many dark ones? I tried to figure it out and after 6 hours of mowing in the heat, just not up to it.
