This picture was in a magazine subscription offer I had received in the mail. I really would love to know what pattern this is and where could I find it. It is similar to the card trick pattern, I think.

American Patchwork and Quilting

I see that Sadiemae came up with the answer! Isn't this a great board?
If you study it and turn your head sideways, it looks like a very carefully laid out and pieced 4 patch on point, with setting triangles. |
Isn't that what they call a four patch? you sew two strips together, cut two strips from that and then sew those two together in the opposite direction.

Thank you so very much! This forum is so awesome.
Everyone is so nice and very helpful. |
I like that pattern too.
|
You could also look for "Cheap Trick" by Miss Rosie's Quilt Co. I bought one on this board.
|
Designer for this pattern is Rachel Shelbourne, whose mother is Darlene Zimmerman (feedsacklady.com). Rachel made the quilt in batiks, and Darlene made the quilt in the 1930's prints that Darlene designs for Robert Kaufman.

I'm going to get that Magazine out and look at it closer.
|
Isn't it a color variation of the Card Trick?
which is what you said in the original post...my brain did not pick that up until AFTER I posted...sorry. I saw a batik one hanging in a quilt store. It is incredibly stunning in person! |

Let's us no where we can get the pattern.
Thanks |
There is a pattern out there for sale , too, called "Cheap Tricks". Made it in Civil Wars and it was beautiful.
Slow quilt. You have to have design wall to place your fabrics. |
This pattern is really simple. They are just squares and rectangles, but you do have to plan the colors and lay it out carefully so like colors touch to make the L shape. The only triangles are the setting traiangles on the edges. I like the 30's and batiks, but the third one is really different.

Nice, different.
|
Thank you for sharing this link with us :D:D:D
|
This would be an excellent way to use up our scraps! Love it!
|
I don't know the correct name, but I would name it "Stacked Deck"
