I would tone it down with solid-colored fabric in-between the blocks. That way, I think the focus fabrics will pop.

Great fabric. I think the 'All about me" would be a good pattern for that fabric.

I would add a few tone on tone fabrics that match, then make a snowball quilt like the one found here (free pattern from Pat Sloan):
