I found this quilt among some things. There is no label. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. The backing is muslin which is brought around to the front for the binding. There is either no batting, or very thin batting. Any information or educated guesses that you can share would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Becky

Snowflake is also what my "encyclopedia of quilt patterns" calls it.

It seems someone may have had a sense of humor, to make a summer weight quilt with a block called "Snowflake", Love it. Thanks again for the info.

It really has 3 names according to Barbara Brackmans Encyclopedia. I have on e my grandmother made also, and knowing her, I think that is what she would have called it. So that is the label I put on it - she didn't put a label on it nor sign it, I even registered it with the "Quilt Project" in MA.
