Canadian Women 150 Annicersary Quilt
2 Attachment(s)
This red and white quilt is only a year late. It was offered by Next Step Quilt Designs for Canada's 150th anniversary, last year, and each block was to honour a Canadian woman of note. I didn't photograph it outside where I could have spread out this king sized beauty on the lawn because a) the backing is white, and b) there are too many birds around!

Wow! Beautiful! I love it! You have excellent reasons not to take this beauty outside! :)
|
Beautiful quilt, late, on time, whenever!
If we search the pattern will we find who each square is for? Or did I misinterpret your comment... |

Beautiful quilt. Well done.
|
Whaaaaaaaaaaat? You haven't got those birds trained to not poop in your backyard? :)
As always, immaculate piecework and without a doubt the LA work too (sorry, I can't see it). What a great Canada 150 memory, and the tribute to our Canadian ForeMothers! |
Awesome. BrendaK

Wow! What a beauty.
|
That is such a beautiful red and white quilt.

I particularly like that you did not use a solid red for all of your blocks. The many different reds make this effort so interesting. I just keep looking at all the different colors, patterns and blocks. Well worth the effort to make this beauty. Belated Happy Anniversary, to our Canadian neighbor and quilting star!

|
That is striking! It came out great. Thanks so much for showing us.

No wonder it is a year late, it is gorgeous, and huge, and has many tiny blocks, with many tinier pieces. Well done!
|
So appealing on so many levels. What size are the blocks?
|
Lovely, interesting and meaningful!

Beautiful quilt. I'm sure that was a lot of fun to put together.
|
Beautiful quilt. So nicely done. I understand why you didn't take a picture of it outside-those birds seem to target such things as your lovely quilt.
|
Love this.
|
Gorgeous quilt and so glad you didn't take it outside!
Others spoke of a website to find out the stories of the blocks. I live in Texas and would love to know more about my neighbors to the north but I don't know the website. Could someone please post the link for the website? Thank you. |
what a beautiful quilt, so many blocks looks like a king size, great job

The designer/web site is found in the statement accompanying the picture. :)
