cheaha39 12-23-2011 06:14 PM

Beautiful, brings back my youth and my mother who always had hand work for us to do. It keeps young hands out of trouble. Candlewhicking, will never go out of "style".

ccthomas 12-23-2011 06:18 PM

Beautiful quilt. Just think of the amount of time that one took.

redquilter 12-23-2011 06:25 PM

Izaquilter 12-23-2011 07:35 PM

what a great find! I am never that lucky to find something that great! I did find a pink king size quilt w/ matching shams but could not think of anyone that could use it. It was a store quilt but it was one like from JCPenney that was a whole cloth & had lots & lots of quilting in it. I carried it around, put it back, went back & got it again & put it back. It wasn't until a couple weeks later I thought for that price I could have made a quilted jacket out of it! So disappointed in myself for not thinking!

Macie 12-25-2011 09:57 AM

Terrific and a wonderful find. I have made a few candlewick pillows for myself. Now you have given me an idea for next Christmas. They are called colonial knots or French knots. You can find the tuturial on http://www.needlethread.com/2007/03l...video-tutorial. I do not know how to add it on here. Good luck.

Macie 12-25-2011 10:03 AM

Oops sorry this is the complete link; http://www.needlethread.com/2007/o3/...torial002.html Sorry about this Good luck again if you have a problem just let me know.

ragamuffin 12-25-2011 07:22 PM

Just French knots, in any design you want to do.
