Canning Jar - Stash Buster Project
1 Attachment(s)
This is a block that I put together from an image that I found on Google. I am going to expand on it and use it in my kitchen as a wall hanging. :) Loved making this. - All fabrics pulled from my stash.
|
great block! There are plenty of food fabrics out there if you want to fill your jars!
|
Very cute! I have seen a half doily sewn into the seam below the jar and it left draped over the shelf fabric below the jar. It is left 3D and looks cute.
|
Love your block. You can add so many different items to these jar blocks such as candies, fruits, or anything of your desire. Your block is so pretty. It will be a nice wall hanging for your kitchen.

Love the label you put on it. What a cute block.

Really like how your jar quilt turned out. I saw that block somewhere too and thought I should try to make one but so far haven't. How big did you make yours?
|
I love your block. I am in Robertsdale also. Do we know each other? Charlotte

This is a pantry quilt I worked on for about 2 years off and on. You could make yours into something like it. Or even a small shelf with just a few jars on it. Sorry it isn't a very good picture. It looks like a cabinet with doors on the bottom and a fancy shaped top. I just wanted you to have an idea.I should take a better picture. These jars are so addictive. lol. Mine was going to be just a shelf of maybe 5 jars. :D
|
That is so cute.
|
Very nice!

I forgot to say how pretty your block is. I took a picture today to show more of what the pantry part looks like. You could do 1 or 2 rows if you don't want one this big. Mine is life size. about 4 1/2 ft. x 5 1/2 ft. I did applique. I like your paper pieced style.Hope you show a picture when you finish whatever you make. I've seen a ot of them on pinterest.
|
Very pretty fabric! This will be a great addition to your kitchen!

Mary, i love your jars.
a few yrs back, i got some small print Halloween prints, eyes, spiders, bones, ect. I made a small rack of witchy type of jars. I used a small grey and black stripe that looked perfect for the lids. I embroidered on white fabric things like, EYE of NEWT, SPIDER LEGS, and so on. I don't have room for a big hanging like yours. Sure wish i did, so this is about 10" wide by about 25-30inches long. i love looking at all of these. thanks for sharing. |
My son (45 yrs old) was here with a friend of his. They were sittin in the kitchen talkin with Don and Jeff (friend) said wow I thought that was a real pantry. I thought it was funny.I love looking at it too. So many different fabrics. Some friends on here sent me some food fabrics . It only takes a few small scraps per jar. It really was a fun quilt.I'm glad so many people liked it.
