okay here we go, I have finally "finished" piecing the top. now I just need to decided how to finish it. should a put a small boarder on or just quilt and bind. i am at a loss as to what to do. even thinking about changing the binding fabric to a pink. would have to get another pink that would go, but that is okay, need a trip to the fabric shop. hehe  :XD:
So what do you guys think? white boarder or just bind it? hubby is no help at this point he is clueless with this. Can you spot the "mistake" in the quilt with the fabric? what do you think? |
I'd go with the white. I think it sets off the quilt better. As for the mistake - I only wish I could make so few!! I only noticed it because you pointed it out.

Really pretty quilt---very nice colors!
I would put a white border on it and bind it with the green. |
I like the option with the white, it seems to make a nice frame. I would have never noticed the error if you hadn't mentioned it either
I would never have noticed the mistake. I would use the green for a border and bind in pink.
white definitely!
very pretty by the way! |
I would do a thin white border, a pink eyelash border, and then the green. or pink eyelash then the green. but that is just my opinion.
I would do a white border the same size as the current white. Then I would add a a 1/4" or 1/2" of either the floral or the pink then finish with a wider green (if you have enough fabric to do that). I would then bind it in either the pink or the same green so you don't even see the binding.
I find the best thing to do is put it up on the wall with straight pins - pin in border options and walk by for a few days changing as you go. You will end up with only one obvious solution in the end. The one that finally makes you say "I love that!" That usually comes to me within 24 hours... |
Very Pretty  And it is not a mistake it is a creative change  LOL
How big do you want it ? I would either border it with white or a pink. The green seems to overwhelm it . Just my opinion |
beautiful, only saw the mistake since you talked about it, love it, it was a happy mistake and planned for if someone asks you

I actually don' tlike the white.
Very Pretty, a strip of white and then green unless you want to shop then pink Good Luck ! Enjoy :)
I think the white looks great. It makes a great inner border. I only noticed the "mistake" since you pointed it out. Great job. I love the colors.
The one in the middle has the two pinks together?
I'm going to go out on a limb here and say use a light pink border and the green fabric for binding. I say this because the green as a border blends in way too much, and the white for the border seems too much. A pale or light pink, or a tiny pink floral on a white background would make a nicer boarder, I think. But that is just my opinion.
White border - and I don't usually like white. As for the mistake, don't tell anybody, I doubt any of us would have noticed if you hadn't mentioned it.

Small inner border in pink. Then larger one in the green and bind with the green. It is best not to have any of the same fabrics touch anywhere at the sides as you will lose your quilt pattern.
I do not like the white. I like the green but if it blends into the quilt too much I would use a small border of the light pink floral and then a wider border in the green. Bind in the pink.
Very pretty, I like the colors too!
I don't spot mistakes, because I don't look for them.
I like the green border, and I would bind that with the same green. |
I like the way the white would frame the quilt. That is really a beautiful quilt. Thanks for sharing.
I would do small white, larger green, bind in pink.
I would do the white
White would be my choice....as someone said earlier, I don't look for mistakes, so don't spot them. This will look so pretty when you finish, so don't forget to show us.
