Can't throw away...part 3!!
 

Once again I sewed together all the little strips to make "new" fabric: very colorful and no blots and dots will be seen on it so I made place mats out of it!!

First all the little bits and pieces sewn together to a very long stripe, then I chosed the Lasagne technic to "construct" new fabric!!

Funny you should say that as I am waiting delivery of this kit http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3009899682...84.m1439.l2649 so I can use some of the myriad of scraps I have to make some useful rag rugs, so useful and a nice "hand" work to do making a change from sitting at the sewing machine for too long!

Love your placemats I have made so many over the years out of scraps or odd blocks and everybody that receives them loves them, also coasters as they DO catch the spills etc. unlike shop ones.

Great idea! No spills to show and scrap decrease! I have a nice set of cream-colored quilted place mats that stay in the drawer most of the time to avoid stains! lol
