Laura you did an absolutely lovely job. I'm sure your daughter and her husband will think it was well worth the wait.... and, I predict this will becomes their most treasured wedding gift.

Wonderful work. I am so impressed. This is one pattern that terrifies me.

Rosalie, I used the John Flynn method for making the quilt. The size I made was 80 x 90. The recommended yardage was as follows:

1 yard each of 6 arc fabrics
4 yards of background fabric
1/2 yard each of two corner fabrics

Let me know if that helps, I can send the requirements for other sizes if you need them.

Laura, Thank you for the reply. We have no Fabric store in my area and have wanted to go find my fabric to start on the quilt. I have John's book on the wedding ring, but this one is a bit different and I wasn't sure about the yardage. Think I may end just making one that you have made since it may be to costly with increase in fabric. I want to use a good grade of fabric. Don't you just love this , Quilter's Message board, great to just read and see quilts others have made. Thanks again, Rosalie

Rosalie, I am fortunate to live close to many fabric stores. But I still shop around on fabric.com. They offer daily specials and the fabric is very good quality and ships very fast.
I had never done curves before and found his method a little confusing at first. But once I got into it, it got easier. Let me know when you get started if I can help.
Good Luck...

Laura

Gorgeous quilt. I love the soft colors and the suttle pink diamond centers. Your hand quilting is stunning also.

Awww! Gorgeous quilt, reminds me of my grandma's and I don't think I could tackle one of those yet, I haven't done any curved piecing. You go, girl :-)
