Cat Quilt Top Finished

1 Attachment(s)
I have finished the quilt top for the cat quilt I am making for my brother and SIL's granddaughter. There were two quilts to finish and ship to Newfoundland for Christmas. This is the second quilt and I have a couple of weeks to do the FMQ. I think I'm going to make my deadline :)
Thanks for looking, and for the feedback I received from some of the members about the size of the quilt and adding another border after the piano keys.

Cute top and now that next step.....what quilt design?

Ooh good decision to frame the multi color piano key in the solid purple. It really helps to frame the piano keys nicely and will look awesome with your planned flange binding.

That really is a good question. I've been looking through books and at designs online, particularly for the large pink areas. I figure the center panel and cat faces should be pretty easy, and the multi print borders are too busy for anything to show up. I was thinking I'd do some close lines in the frames around the cat faces, but the pink is a large area that something interesting would show up on, and I'm not sure if I should just ditch the piano keys, or add something there too..... Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm cat things to excess, and would try paw prints... ;) Fish, alternately?
Love that fabric, and how happy this quilt is!

One of my ideas for a border is a fish that is bones only. I've found a picture on google images that I may turn into a template. I'm not sure though. It will depend on what else I come up with if that would work or not. :p
