Here's a pic of a cathedral window pillow that I finished tonight. It's based on a pattern in Lynne Edwards' book "Cathedral Window Quilts". I used a neutral frabric for the squares, border, and backing. The "glass" in the windows is a 1930's reproduction fabric called "Hello Betty!" by Chloe's Closet from Moda. It measures 18.5" x 18.5". I've always loved the look of the cathedral window pattern so decided to give it a try with this small project. It was really fun to do, I think I may try a full quilt some day. :)

I've always wanted to try those, are they hard?

Your pillow looks great

Looks very crisp and fresh....love the colours and the background fabric. I am sure some interior designer out there would love to get their hands on some of the beautiful items posted on this site.

I was afraid it would be hard, but it was surprisingly easy. It was more time consuming than anything else, making all those background blocks. Putting the "glass" in and sewing them down was much easier and quicker than I thought it would be. One tip I did read about on the internet when I was looking up info about this pattern was very helpful: when making those background blocks and pressing the 4 corners into the center, use 4 pins to hold them together there instead of using your fingers, and then press with the steam iron - sure helps prevent the steam burned fingers! I found that tip after about half way through doing them, so was sure glad I found it.
