Love them -now I'm inspired to make some pincushions.

Those are really pretty!

coopah 02-10-2012 05:27 AM

The cheery, spring colors make these really attractive. I'm curious as to what you stuff them with, as I've just paper pieced 12 pincushions, but am not sure what to stuff them with yet. I've seen folks mentioned crushed walnut shells, but don't know anything about those...I'm thinking plastic pellets to hold them and maybe some batting as well? What do you find works?

Sewfine 02-10-2012 05:34 AM

Beautiful pincushion and love the springy colors.

rwquilts 02-10-2012 05:35 AM

LOL! Well, I'm not too sophistocated...I just used regular good ole poly stuffing! :) That's what I had on hand and I stuffed them quite tight and of course when you stitch the button through the top and bottom, it also makes it tighter! Good luck! Would love to see a picture! I've only made 5 altogether, so you've got me beat!

Well, my pincushions are like quilts...only the tops are done! :-) I'll try to get some of them done and post. Yours are more "ladylike than mine, which I made from scraps.

krista 02-10-2012 03:27 PM
