Beautiful. You must have lots of patience. I would love to make one of these.

Beautiful littlehud - I love your fabric choices and the blue sets them all off a treat! Keep on keepin' on and you'll get there in the end! And you're right to keep it for yourself!

Many years ago I had four quilts on my list of "I have to do this one".
The first one was the Dresden Plate. Done and gifted to my SIL to have while she recovered from BC. Star quilt was the next one. Call it anything you want but it had to be a star, Top is done, sandwiching is next. Grandmothers Garden, hexagons by hand. I am working on getting it turned into a square. I only work on this one in the winter. The last one is Cathedral Windows. I have saved so many patterns and how toos. any tips from you? Are you doing this by hand or machine? I love this. |
It's beautiful! Some day I hope to make one too. My girlfriend snatched one up at a garage sale before I could grab it, lol~

It is already beautiful, brave person you are...

Entire pic...the outside square, before rounding corners.
I only made 4 blocks in 2006...but they made nice little "doilies" for my shop. |
Oh my gosh - it is fantastic. I am in the process - to the best of my figureing I need 2,500 blocks for my super king size. My brain doesn't compute very well so I bought a whole bolt of good muslin, washed it (cut into 2 yd lengths), now am in the process of cutting 8&1/2 squares. My age is getting on up there so it will probably never be finished, but it is my "handwork". I love it.

Looks beautiful now, and I'm sure the final results will be great. I tried this once "just because" and have a pillow cover size waiting to be completed. Keep up the good work! Looking forward to seeing the whole thing.
