I particularly like how you varied the background blues. Very creative and lovely

Absolutely beautiful quilt. Love the blue background and backing. Eddie did a marvelous job on the tutorial. I am making one in batiks. Haven't gotten very far (I am doing it in between projects). You should be very proud of your creation. I am sure it will be admired and loved for a long time.

This is my first experience with cathedral windows. My personal opinion is to start SMALLER than king-size. LOL

borntoquilt 07-17-2010 08:14 AM

You made that just SINCE Eddies' tutorial???? Holy Cow!! Did you sleep?? That is beautiful! Have only seen C/W done with white/light background. It has great movement to it!!!! You have inspired me to go take a BETTER look @ Eddies' tute and "git started"!~ Thanks for sharing!

Newby0709 07-17-2010 08:28 AM

As you can see in the one picture, this is made to be used. White background is not practical with four little ones in the mix. I made it with love and want them all to use it without fear of soils or stains.

maggiemuggins 07-17-2010 10:03 AM

Love that blue and the work is wonderful!

See the tutorial: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-35742-3.htm
go to page 3, step 36. Once you complete the blocks, they are set together and you are ready for the binding. There is no "quilting" because it is accomplished as you complete the steps. I added a border because I was lazy and didn't want to make C/W for the sides. :-)
