Cute Cute Cute!!! :) So glad it is a featured quilt!!
Patrice - Did you post your pattern? |
I love the center of each braid. Is there a pattern or instructions for that part. I have done the braid before using the MSQC binding tool but not with the square piece in the center. Are both strips the same length? If there is any tutorial can you advise.
Thanks, Evelyn |
Congrats! I love this quilt!

thanks very much. :)
this is the way i did my braids. i didn't have EQ at the time, so this was easier than trying to figure out how to cut precise and properly shaped pieces. |
Aw, what a cute element to the French braid. Super cute.
Quite colorful.
SEW VERY CUTE!!! Love it!!
Adorable. love the kitties, great quilting
Thank you so much for the tut about the french braid portion of the quilt. Would it be too much to ask to get the pattern for the kitties? I've been looking for something to make up for the silent auction that the rescue I volunteer with has and this would be perfect. I'm assuming that the cats were appliqued onto the piece of fabric connected to the "fence" portion. Thank you for any help you can give me.

congrats on being the quilt of the week on the home page this week. really well done... even the quilting
and thanks for the pattern, too
Congrats on Quilt of the week! I love this quilt and the butterflies are perfect!
I love it! It looks just like kitties sitting on a balcony railing. Nice job!
Glad I decided to ck out the Quilt of the Week! Love it, Patrice, Congratulations! And thanks for the pdf on the braids too! I read through from the beginning but can't remember if you gave the size or not? I wish the pic would enlarge....I can right click on it and then on View Image and get a bit of enlargement but with it were more. The fence design is really neat! and love the dark fabrics--the small squares are floral, aren't they? Is the sashing and border fabric floral or small dots? It sure is a winner!!:o

a simpler cat block can be found here: http://quilting.about.com/od/blockof.../cat_quilt.htm if you want to challenge yourself to curved piecing, you are welcome to use my pattern. remember to set page scaling, in adobe reader, to "none" before you print it. it should finish to 12". |
Too cute..

Almost anything with a cat or cats on it gets a rave review from me!

Very cute quilt!!! I did dragonflies on a quilt the hard way , so i know how you felt. FMQing would have worked much better.

Lovely, good job.

Where did you all get this pattern? I love cats and would love to make the quilt. I love trying new patterns.

I love it! You did a great job!

Great quilt. I'd love to see it also in autumn colors and I love doing French braid runners so it might go on my list of somdays.

i didn't do the butterflies using FMQ. i pinned the printed pattern onto the panel and stitched around it the hard way. in another year and a half i might have the courage to try FMQ butterflies. it's a rectangle. cross my heart. |
How cute!!! I just love the whole thing and the butterflies are just adorable.

Nicely done. Thanks for sharing!
