For Christmas my youngest daughter made chalk cloth placemats for her nieces. She bought the chalk cloth at Hancocks, cut it to the size she wanted, sewed on a pocket to hold the chalk, attached a flannel eraser with ribbon and backed with cute fabric. It can be rolled up and tied closed for easy packing.
They are great entertainment for kids waiting in a restaurant for their food to arrive. They can draw, play games, etc. My granddaughters love theirs! I just wanted to share the idea with you for anyone who has small children or grands. The backing side The chalk cloth side |
