Challenge: Make something to be used or displayed in your sewing room
 

I had fun making this pillow to be displayed in a sewing room...or used to take a cat nap between projects.:)
We were told that our challenge project will be given away this year so if we like what we made, we better make two.

Oh, my goodness, those yellow handled scissors on the front look like they are really real, just laying there.

Really cute and yes, I love those scissors too. In fact I have a pair that looks just like them and they are my favorite little scissors; still sharp too. Wish I could find another pair. I need to make a pillow or two. Is that an insert and did you stuff it? Love the design. Good job.

Thank you! I used a 12 X 12 pillow insert. The pillow pattern came from allpeoplequilt.com. They have lots of great free patterns. Have fun making your pillows. Embroidery Library has the design I used.

It is nice to have a "happy place" and with such a gorgeous cushion in it will make it feel even happier. Well done.

Girls, this year I finished my small sewing studio. I belong to a great group on Tuesdays and asked each of them to make me a 10" square from my favorite fabric. WOW. These are hung on my wall or displayed on my counter. They are so beautiful. Each girl has their own style and it is so great to look up from cutting or sewing or even ironing and I get a view of beauty. I framed each in a color frame to accent the square. Everyone who comes in my room loves them.
