Beautiful! What an heirloom. And I'd say that your skills were MORE than up to the challenge!
Beautiful, your hands must have been in overdrive to embroider all these blocks in such a short time. what a treasure to own.
It's funny!! I made this exact same quilt. It took me 10 years to finally complete. Had trouble finding all the blocks, but finally finished it. Gave it to my youngest daughter. I made it large and it fit her queen size bed with about 4 blocks left over. Did you find that the printed material was very thin? I did. thank you

I think these cross stitched blocks have been under rated for years...they make beautiful quilts. Yours is one of those beauties!!!
Absolutely one of the prettiest quilts I've ever seen.
wow, that' gorgeous

Omygosh!!! This is a heart stopper, it's so pretty.
My mom (now 100) made this same quilt for my daughter. Daughter is now 29 and it's still hanging in her home.
A joint venture by both grandmas. That makes that quilt extra special and so beautiful!
Beautiful!! No wonder she asked you to make the quilt!! Great job!
Well you all did a super wonderful job, love it, great work
How special that it was made by two grandmas. It is beautiful. I can't believe that the other grandma can do such beautiful cross stitch but can't sew on a button... maybe she just doesn't want to? LOL
G O R G E O U S!!! Much time and love went into that beautiful creation!!
This is beautiful. Your choices of fabric complimented the samplers nicely. :-)
Very pretty
Absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful and such great memories will be attached.
What a beautiful quilt and it looks so dainty and comfy
I can't imagine the time spent for all the cross stitching.
I use to do it but cant see that well anymore. This quilt is beautiful. |
Wow love it
Thanks everyone for all the nice words.
I feel so pleased that so many people like it. Yes, I'm sure the cross stitch fabric was thin and have some poly in them. If it isn't washed real often it should wear very well. |
Very nice. I am sure "Grandma" is delighted to see it all together.
THAT BEAUATIFUL QUILT IS JUST STITCHED WITH LOVING FINGERS AND LOVING HEARTS. AS A GRANDMOTHER MYSELF. I LOVE DOING FOR MY GRANDCHILDREN. I CAN IMAGINE THE PRIDE THESE GRANDMOTHERS AND THE GRANDDAUGHTER MUST HAVE IN THIS HEIRLOOM QUILT.......
I have that same block that I did years ago. I didn't put any sashing in it and used a backing that had all the colors of the block in it. Hanging on my quilt rack right now, never been used. Tried to sell it one time, but no takers. Not giving it away either, too much work in it.
OH Wow!! This is stunnig.
absolutely incredibly lovely!!
H JINGLE...IT is just STUNNING! I see that you did some freemotion quilting...it looks great! That will be a treasured quilt!
Very pretty. Your quilt really showcases the cross stitch. How special that it was made by both Grandmothers!
Beautiful work all round. Sewn with lots of love.
