Hello to everyone,, I would like to share my newest completed quilt. It is the history of the superbowls that the GREAT GREAT PITTSBURGH STEELERS, have won... ( can u tell I am a big fan???? ESP #43... whoo hoo,,lol... ) Hope you all like,, pls leave a comment,, or suggestion of what you might have done differently if it were your quilt.. I love the ideas,, and just may use them,, that is,,if I can get your permission of course.. Hope you all like!!!

How did you do the years on the fabric ? |
I had gone to JoAnns and bought the felt iron ons,, lol.. I know its cheating,, but,, it is to his liking,,lol...

Will they stand up to washing or did you do anything else to make sure they stay attached ? THANKS

I had also sewn around the edges of the numbers.. I tested it on a few scraps,, put it through I beleive 15 washings,, and it stayed,, and did not begin to fray or anything,,,

Is it a lap quilt or quilt for your bed? I light the bright cheery colors :thumbup: |
well,, I go tto snuggle it for a few minutes before I sent it to my brother,, He adores the steelers,, as well as I do.. And so,, I figured I would throw one together for him. Took me 3 nights,, Thanks,,I love bright as well!!!

Glad I could give an idea,, I love all the new ideas I have gotten from this site!!!! Better than any book I have bought,, (beeive me,, I have a library,,not sure if I have more fabric or more books,,,lol) :lol:

How awesome..I have a 22 yr old soccer athletic and he is trying to get on a pro team. I have stalled om making his t shirt quilt maybe I could do big games or tournaments etc. I love the way you laid it out....thanks for the hints,

Love it-from a big Steelers fan. I've made a few that were auctioned at benefits but now I need to make one for me. Thanks for the picture and the suggestions.

Very nice quilt. I am sure any fan would love it. My only suggestion would to do some quilting in the solid rows. Maybe you could do diamonds like on their helmet emblem.

Hello and welcome! I love the bright colors. The only thing I would have done differently, a little more quilting. I am not a sports fan but I am a big time quilting fan!

A real "knock your socks off" quilt! Any Steelers fan would want it. For a suggestion, I would put more quilting on it, especially those long, long strips. Good job. Belles

My young nephew (12) would think he died a went to heaven if this was his. He has been a Steelers fan since he knew what football was. Great job!!!
