Great looking quilt, such a nice job you did with the shirts! and someone is going to love this very much. Is that a red zig- zag stitch around the blocks?, If so.... I think it really makes it look like a pioneer quilt.

Yes, it's indeed a kinda zig-zag stich, one of the quilting stiches of my Pfaff quilting/sewingmachine. I even used it to quilt down the binding, this gives the quilt another small red frame.
