What a wonderful idea for making quilts! You could take a child's panel and use your method to increase the size to whatever size you'd like. I love it!

This was a spur of the moment design when I had a free booth at our county fair to demo basic quilting ideas. (My guild has it show at the county fair, but many of those quilts are quite intimidating for the beginner.) I think it is my most successful quick quilt pattern (I have about 30.) this led to a 4H sewing/quilting class.

It's really lovely, the design is beautiful. The recipient will be so pleased to own the beautiful quilt. Bless you for your thoughtfulness.

Really thoughtful of you to do this for a senior. It's beautiful and very interesting. I can't stop looking at it and trying to figure out the method. A turorial would be great. Thanks for sharing.

I second the request for a tutorial. Lots of them might be in our future as gifts.
