Here is a Charm quilt that I did with my guild. We all brought in 30 4 in. blocks. and traded them among us. This is how mine came out.

I love sewing with charm squares very pretty
:D |
That was done all by hand.

Hand sewn! Oh my! Now that I've gone to a machine, my hands are so happy I can't imagine making something like that, I really love how you have a unique shape to your charms too, it adds a great visual appeal. How much did you check the lay out before you sewed them together? Or did you grab and sew? :D

How fun! Very nice!

Wow!!! I love a charm quilt-I am into scrappy. That is really neat-and so cool that you traded fabrics with your friends-that makes it even more special. And I cannot believe that it is hand sewn! How long did it take?

We were told to brown bag them and pull one out at a time. The shape is called a tumble shape (tumbling blocks). Took one year to do.

How neat and you couldn't put the fabric back either. Some people take scrap yarn and throw it all into a big black garbage bag and make an afghan the same way.
Love the pattern and the quilt. |
Beautiful! I can't even imagine hand sewing a quilt. I have enough trouble getting things finished using the machine.
Will have to try that paper bag method. It certainly had good results for you. |
Wow.... It is absolutely beautiful!!!!
