Chat Challenge Slide show
 

Hello all :)

Some of us ladies that frequent the live chat on this board decided to do a challenge. Each of us made a small item (table runner, mug rug, wall hanging, tote, etc.) and the theme was Fall and the Maple Leaf quilt block. The challenge was not to show pictures of the finished item until the big reveal day.

We enjoyed this challenge so much, we have planned out the next couple months already, Any are welcome to join in with us. Information is posted on my blog here, which you can get to through clicking on my name and selecting Profile.

It is wonderful to see how each of us interprets the theme and what our creativity leads us to do :) It is really fun to think outside the box, come up with something fantastic and unique, then keep it! well I am not keeping mine, giving it to my mom cause it matches the fall quilt I made her (pictures on that once it is bound)

I participated in this challenge because I am a regular in chat. This was a good for me as I am not usually into holiday decorating these days and would have just skipped anything autumn/fall. This is the table runner I made with close up of pumpkin block. Once I get the dining room table cleared of DH's stuff, it will go there. :)

These look great and they are finished projects as where mine is just the top in the pic as I'm going to be handquilting mine with scattered leaves all over in a brown variegated thread. The leaf that lays on it will be the template and comes from "Bath & Body" from their fall display over their different pumpkin candles. The clerk was happy to cut one down when we explain why we would like it. My friend asked but we was quite surprised when she said "yes". Who would have thought ... Right?

I did promise the ladies in Chat last night that once I finished it, I would post another picture of the finished project. At the moment I call this piece "Autunm's Trails" and it came about when I had miss cut some HST's for one of my table runners for Brat's Swap. Instead getting mad ... I re-planned what I was going to make for this "Non-Swap".
