Pattern: Cheaper by the Half Dozen - uses 6 fat quarters plus borders and backing.

Fabric: From selveges: Oh Boy by David Walker-Westminster Fibers, Red Rooster Fabrics, Mother Goose by The Vintage Workshop, a division of Indygo Junction Inc. Website says: David Walker Fabrics.

LOVE THIS FABRIC. It FEELS so good! Got it in a kit from Peggy Annes. http://webstore.quiltropolis.net/sto...7&parent_ids=0

That's a $29 kit which INCLUDES backing and postage. Get out of my way - I'm about to order another. The one in the link was made with a pattern that is included, but I wanted to use this one instead.

Backing - came with the kit, but my pattern made the quilt a bit larger so it's pieced. Had to take pieces left from the fat quarters along with a strip or two to make it work.

Binding - pulled over from the backing - it was a very tight fit, but ... it worked!

Quilting - Cross Hatch.

I'm proudest that I didn't leave in some little flaws that I'm prone to do. Little pucker here? Rip and redo. I think the Farmer's Wife Sampler I'm working on has taken over my brain. Or my only quilting teacher has finally made it to the middle of my brain with her "Accuracy, accuracy, accuracy!"

A dear friend is about to join the Grandmother's Club for the first time. A shower for her daughter is next weekend. I may make the tag out to my friend, though. Don't Grammy's need new quilts, too?

EDITED TO ADD:
Oh how the mighty have fallen.... I was so proud of a puckerless quilt and ... I put the blocks together wrong.

I am stomping my little foot and laughing at the same time. The row on the left should have been reversed. It's hard to tell cause the blocks are so big. I knew same fabric blocks would touch, but thought I just made the mistake of having the focus fabs in the interior of the block, when they should have been on the exterior. Never thought that I had the entire row backwards.

So .. now that I've learned to be more accurate in the small things, perhaps I can learn to be accurate in the large ones as well!
