Received sad news this past week.. my DSIL has cancer and my DH asked that 'we' make her a quilt, quickly, as she begins chemo soon. He helped me thru every step of the way... he selected a fat quarter bundle out of my stash from Connecting Threads called Evening Romance.... he picked the Kaffe Fassett Abundance Pattern off the Jordan Fabrics website.... he cut fabric and pressed all the seams while I was busy making blocks and assembling rows... he even chose the fabric layout and the label saying. Now we pray... Christine |
Great quilt and she will feel the love when she uses it during her treatments.

Nice teamwork. Your SIL will appreciate the love you both put into this quilt. Hoping for a positive outcome for her.

I'm sorry for the bad news for your family. Your husband must love his sister dearly to put such effort into helping you make this lovely quilt. Wishing your SIL successful treatment and recovery.

Beautiful and thoughtful quilt, Christine. I love that the hands that made this included her brother, your hubbie. So special. Will be adding her to my list as I pray for my sister so shall I pray for your SIL. Hugs!

How wonderful to have so much husband participation! She will feel loved and blessed when she uses or looks at this quilt. Excellent work. Beautful quilt.

You and hubby are a great team and created a quilt made with love for her feel and enjoy. You both did what you could do and now praying together. You are both an inspiration. You both did what you could and then pray. This is just what how God would want us to be. The quilt is beautiful yes, but also has such warmth radiating from the center. I think that is because of it is made of LOVE.
|
I am sure this quilt will be a comfort to her.

It's so good to read of your cooperative effort to make this comforting gift for your DSIL. My younger brother had a life-threatening cancer 14 years ago and we are so grateful that he got through it without a recurrence all these years. I hope your family will take heart in knowing that medical science has steadily advanced, and every day brings new hope.
|
It’s beautiful! Prayers for your DSIL!

That quilt is beautiful and I love that your husband was so involved. I have input from mine on many and I do appreciate his good eye for color placement. You two did great. Best wishes for your SIL.
