They are beautiful. Is just the top piece the patterned fabric?

Thank you!

I made the chenille. You use 3 different fabrics, then sew rows at an angle 1/4 - 1/2" apart and then cut the top 2 fabrics between the rows of stitching. I have a chenille cutter but a sharp pair of scissors will work as well. Just make sure u don't cut thru the bottom layer! (I am speaking from experience!)

Yes, it is only the top fabric that is patterned. The second fabric, I believe I used a marble solid (does that make sense? lol) and the bottom fabric was just a cream solid or blue...depending on which bag you are looking at. I gave these as gifts so I can't quite remember what exactly I did.

Your bags are gorgeous! I would love to some day learn the chenille technique.

Where did you get the fabric? It is really beautiful, someone mentioned making your own chenille how do you do that?
Lovely bags you really did a great job. Happy quilting :)
