I have had one of those panels for years and wondered what to do with it.That's a great idea but I wonder why you used 4 panels? I know I would never find another one.Have done chenille but have always used different fabrics. Do you think that would work or would it distort the image?

I have also done this using homespuns and flannels.

Gorgeous....what a great thing to do with panels....thanks so much. I'm getting my first grandbaby in December....I'd love to try this...

Its super easy. Just load a larger backing and float the top on point so you can channel lock straight lines.

That is how I thought you did it. The lines were perfectly straight. :) Thanks for the info. :) I had to come and look at it again. It really turned out great.

that is so neat! i love the look you achieved. it looks like you have stitched the panels to a batting and backing.
did you prepare it for the quilting and then stitch the chenille lines? or did you sew the chenille lines then add the batting and back?

all done at the same time. The panels are stitched right to the batt and back.
