I love round quilts! The "Eagle" will be a 60" circle. Not difficult to make, strip piecing - just requires paying CLOSE ATTENTION to the instructions.

I don't particularly like the brown eagle on the pattern...so I thought I'd try greys and blacks. So far I have completed the left wing - pieced the right wing sections, but needed some down time before continuing.

I love this pattern. I have always admired these patterns from them. They always look so hard though I have never tried one!

It'll be stunning, I'm sure! Hope you'll progress well without hiccups! Make sure you show us the finished eagle!

I, too, like the Cheryl Phillips patterns although I have not yet tried one.

it's a great pattern

I've completed two of the "Angelica" quilts - one was awesome in construction - the second one took a little finagling to get it right. It is JUST strip piecing - but one must STARCH, STARCH, STARCH!

I heavily starch the fabric before it is cut. Then I starch each sewn strip section before I cut the 'wedges'.
