"Chic Country" aka Winding Ways

Just finished this up today. It is one of those quilts that makes you smile. Loved this technique. It uses the Sew Kind of Wonderful, quick curve ruler. This is a very forgiving way to sew those dreaded curves. This quilt was so much fun to make.

Great quilt and pattern! Is there a tutorial for using the quick curve ruler for this pattern?

Tartan, I did not find a tutorial for this particular pattern, but Rachel Hauser at Stitched in Color reviewed the ruler making this pattern. I had no trouble using the ruler, but there is a bit of a learning curve. It goes together great but you need to follow the instructions to the letter. The sewing is very forgiving. Also I pressed all my seams open to help with the excess bulk at the center of the block units. http://www.stitchedincolor.com/2015/...rve-ruler.html

Lovely quilt. I have been too chicken to try to sew a curve. You fabric choices made this quilt to be so delightful.

your quilt is awesome, love the colors too

This is a wonderful quilt - I never have had the nerve to try a curvey pattern - thanks for the tip about the quick curve ruler- maybe someday I'll get my "round tuit" and give it a whirl.

I love it! I purchased that ruler and the pattern Chic Kisses at Road2CA last year, but I haven't used it yet. I really like your quilt!

I have loved that pattern since the first time I've seen it. Your choice of colors makes me think of a fun day at the beach.
