chinese indigo birds-machine embroidered quilt
2 Attachment(s)
i learned to digitize a few years ago & this was the first quilt i digitized & stitched out. i included a rather blurry image of one of the blocks. i outlined all the designs & stippled in between them, so the quilt looks as though it's one piece, but is actually 30 blocks with a narrow flange and a border.
the name of the quilt is from the book of clip art i used (from dover publications). i'd be glad to send you the designs. you'll need an embroidery machine with an 8" hoop. chris in virginia, usa |

Brilliant work!

This also looks like the BFC creations from a few years ago except theirs was all white on blue fabric. It is very pretty
|

Beautiful embroidery, Chris, and excellent idea to stipple all around so as to make it look like one piece of background fabric

Those are beautiful designs ! Can you tell me what the learning curve is with digitizing ? I have been thinking about attempting to learn how. Personally, I would love those designs. What needs to happen in order for me to get them ? |
Very gorgeous quilt! I love that and am so glad you finished it! You will really enjoy it I'm sure.
