Christmas bazaar
1 Attachment(s)
We moved to a church and are remodeling it. My quilting studio is packed along with a million other things. So I'm back to small projects done on the kitchen table. These are for our guilds booth, hope these sell. Any other suggestions for small items that can be done on a kitchen table?

How about those bowl holders for the microwave. http://www.seamshappy.com/2012/08/13...wl-pot-holder/

How about flower pin cushions. The tutorial is here at this link: http://suzanspatchworkgarden.blogspo...ittle-tut.html
I also like this big, thick potholders made with six layers of fabric and a layer of insulbright: youtube video tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sipzCAflJQ8 |
pinterest and U-tube has really cute items. I also like to google images on Christmas ornaments and decorations. Lots of things come up for inspiration.
|
By the way, I forgot to tell you that I love your flower petal ornaments. They are really nice. Thanks for sharing.
|
Very nice assortment!
|
They all look great. I love those 'elf' boots with the curly toes!
|
Very nice!!!

Cute projects! The $ store hand towel and a potholder make cute button on towels for the stove handle. You find the pot holder with a center loop, sew it on the towel at the half mark and put a button on for the loop. Google it and a tutorial will probably come up.

Bowl pot holders are very popular at craft sales

I love your projects. There are many items you could make. I made many of the folded ornaments such as you made only I used the state college team colors
Also in this picture are styrofoam balls where I glued a collage of collegiate fabric pieces and then used mod podge on them. You can do fabric boxes which are simple and quick. Pot holders are also popular and quick Then there is little mug rugs Also, I forgot to mention if you cover the petal ornaments with Mod Podge, it gives them the look of leather and makes them much more durable. Sorry this is so long, however, I love doing Christmas gifts for many friends and family. Lastly, this is one I am doing for work this year Don't have any pictures of mine yet but here is the link. I have made 28 so far using team material and CHRISTmas material for the scarf and decorating the hats. These sock snowmen are quick and easy and turn out great; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pB4jFqkn8MY |

Making potholders using scraps with earth tones mixed with greens and other Christmas colors. Table runners are great gifts as well. Last year, before moving, I made one for each of my children. When finished, I used free motion signature. They said that made them special. Another year, using scraps, I made quilted Christmas cards for all my friends and pen-pals. I cut and sewed blocked and rectangular scraps as well as making a (what I found out later) was a Log Cabin design. Once I sewed the blocks/etc together, I measured them against the cards I planned to use. Cutting with rotary cutter cut down time to fit the designs to the card. Then sewed directly onto Christmas face cards saved from previous years. Some of the cards had decorative machine stitching but you have to be careful so needle doesn't cut through the paper. Found wide zigzag and straight stitching worked the best. Enjoy!

lovely projects. Love you fabrics too.

These coasters are quick and easy. What she doesn't show is you can open up the pieces of fabric and the bottom of a stemware glass will fit inside. Very cute.
