It is so funny looking back, we grew up in a time without AC and central heat. I loved to sleep under the heavy quilts. Now, hubby wants the light quilts and the central heat on. In this sense the economy is a blessing  I have convinced him to trun the heat down a use a small heater so I can use the quilts I love!!!!!!

My brother loves the fact that I am a quilter, he lives in Scotland and it can get a bit chilly there so all he does if he feels a bit cold is to throw another quilt on, lucky for him I have supplied him with loads

Why not just put it on your bed through the day and take it off at night? I do that all the time. It makes your bedroom look nice when friends visit and is easy to remove at night. Don't give it away as you will regret it after you do. Our bedroom is on the west and the room gets very hot in summer.
