the pattern is in the McCalls Quilting magazine Holiday issue dated November/December 2009

JanetP 10-24-2011 05:29 AM

I emailed customer service at mccallsquilting.com. They will make a copy of the pattern and mail it to you for $4.00. When you get to the web site, click on the ABOUT US tab and then select the CONTACT US tab. Sorry everyone - I don't know how to create a hyperlink.

I totally agree, though I like the originals too. I had never seen the original pattern before. But, Kudos Delta! You have incited a cyber riot.LOL

Are you referring to the Nov/Dec 2009 McCalls Quilt magazine? If so, where did you order it from? I even called McCalls and they said I cant order it. Nor do they have it in digital form. FRUSTRATING!!!!

Corry 10-24-2011 10:21 AM

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.......I can't buy it from McCalls, Can't find it on Amazon or Ebay. Looked thru all my quilting magazines and I don't have it. I even looked to see if this Patterson lady has a web site and sells the design but could not find anything on her. Yeeees...VERY frustrating. Corry

We live on MO but are only 35 miles away from dentist in AK.
I didn't look at the date and thought it was the new McCalls Christmas issue and bought it as I saw the wall hanging in it is reason I bought it and owner told me she has given a class on it and it I was interested I could come take it but I paper piece so just bought the magazine. I think that they must of had the extra magazines for the class and these were left over. Don't know how many or if they have any left as it has been over a week ago we were there.
It was at McKee Sewing and Vac Center 64 Sparrow RD Greenforest, AK 72638 phone 870-437-2862

I have searched online, in my mag stash, even checked the local Walmart today, & this mag is not to be found anywhere,so, if anyone has it & wants to share, send me a private message, please! I love this pattern so much, these little trees are just way to cute!...

goosepoint 10-25-2011 04:24 PM

I got mine on eBay from 'Yardage Guy'. He has very high ratings and was great to work with. It was item #120795682022. He may have others.

I checked ebay yesterday and I couldn't find one.

Becca Bear 10-25-2011 05:51 PM

I looked online at McCall's Quilting magazine and got the following response posted by Tricia Camp at the magazine:

"If an issue is no longer available for purchase, we can copy a specific pattern. We charge a small fee to copy and mail the pattern. If you are interested, please email me at [email protected]. I can get the particulars to you."

Anyone wanting to purchase the Paper Pieced Christmas Tree pattern from the Nov/Dec 2009 magazine should be able to obtain it by contacting Tricia Camp at the email listed above. I don't know how much the fee is, but it may be worth it if you are unable to get the magazine. Good luck!

Well I did it - I know it's not as good as Delta's but it's my first pp....whatcha think????

leiladylei54 10-25-2011 07:01 PM

Oh nice!!! I like them!!!

Janet My 10-25-2011 07:09 PM

Beautiful.... you took the trees to the next level by using the different colors. I would put them in a quilt or wall hanging... Too nice & too much work involved to be slopped on.

sailsablazin 10-25-2011 07:15 PM

OOOOHHHHH! Nice Job!!! I really like these trees!!!!

happymrs 10-25-2011 07:25 PM

Kind of expensive. McCalls Quilting is sending mine to me for $4.00.

Essjay 10-26-2011 06:51 AM

I've written to McCalls twice - haven't received a response.
In the book Black and White Quilts by Design by Kay M Cross, she has a variety of similar trees.

MiMi in Lutz 10-26-2011 07:11 AM

Happy Tails...you did a fantastic job. Beautiful colors and great work. Love it!!!

RDM 10-26-2011 07:43 AM

Wonderful holiday trees. I checked out McCall's photo of them in a quilt. I can also see these smaller in postcard size for a Christmas card to friends. Thanks for sharing your beautiful trees.

I was thinking this too! Wouldn't they be cute even smaller! May have to play with this idea too!...

Corry 10-26-2011 08:00 AM

There are so many of us interested in this pattern. It will be very interesting to see what everyone does with it when they do find the pattern. Keep in touch. We want to see your trees.

Hope everyone who wanted the pattern read this reply. $4.00 is cheap for a pattern and the magazine would cost more then that.

Jammin' Jane 10-26-2011 09:46 PM

I just got a response from Tricia at McCalls to the email that I sent yesterday. She is getting many requests, so I imagine that it is taking some time to get to them. To speed up the process for those of you planning to email her,
include your mailing address in your request for the pattern. She is including an invoice with the pattern for $4 to be mailed back as payment. This may help, anyway.

lucy78 10-28-2011 09:16 AM

that is the one i want also.shouls i send my address or what?
