Such nice work! Lucky daughter and son-in-law!
|
I love the everything especially the padded hangers. Did you have a pattern for them?????
|
Just made the pattern up myself. Not hard to do, just draw your shape and size from the wooden coathanger. I used padding and then cotton fabric under the printed fabric and quilted a diamond pattern. I started with the fabric larger than the card pattern shape, quilted and then traced the shape onto the back side of the quilted fabric, cut out leaving 1/4 inch seam allowance. Sew the piping around the shape and place the uncut quilted back fabric and seam, leaving an opening for the hook and also along the bottom, trim back side to match the front. Cover the hook with 1/4 inch clear tubing. Screw hook into wooden hanger, cover tubing with bias fabric tube, secure over the wooden hanger and slip stitch the opening at top of the hook closed. Pad hanger with quilt wadding, slip the cover over the padded hanger, pin the bottom edges together and slip stitch closed. Add a ribbon or lavender bag.
Hope you can follow these instructions. |
All your projects are fantastic. Their recipients will love and appreciate them.
