Christmas present for exchange student granddaughter
 

This is for our grandaughter exchange student for Christmas. She is a sweet girl and blue is her favorite color. This is also my first attempt at fmq. It went ok, in each blue block I tried a different pattern. I really need to practice, practice, practice but it was fun and quilted in 2 days, yeah!

Jan, she is from Thailand. They also have 2 Chinese boys this year and three younger ones of their own. They keep us hopping.

We had a lovely exchange student frm Thailand 25 years ago. It was a fun year - both for her to live in the Northeast and learn about snow and skiing and such and for us to learn about Buddhism and the customs of her familly. She was actually Chinese. Her family had left China when the Communists took over.
